As is usual on elec-trical nights the attendance was very large, inspite of the threatened railroad strike which preventedthe attendance of some members. E. B. Katte, chiefengineer of electric traction New York Central Railroad,presided, and papers prepared by C. H. Quinn, chiefelectrical engineer Norfolk & Western Railway, and , electrical engineer Chicago, Milwaukee & Railway, were presented. President L. E. Johnson of the Norfolk & Westernhad expected to describe the operating features of theelectric division
