Eastern sealed section of the legendary Gibb River Road by the Cockburn Ranges, East Kimberley, Western Australia

The Gibb River Road was once an infamous unsealed stock route that cut through the heart of the Kimberley Region of North West Australia for 600km from Derby to Wyndham. It has now become a "right-of-passage" for many winter (ie, dry season) travellers intent on seeing the "real Kimberley". It is still unsealed for 2/3 of its length and can be brutal on vehicles.
