A Mongolian helmet, Period of the Golden Horde, 14th century,. Made of four embossed, overlapping iron segments riveted together. Obvious damage, especially on the lower rim and at a place in the middle of the skull. Otherwise the metal is quite well preserved. Height 17 cm. Weight 748 g. Conserved condition as discovered.
