Marine Lance Cpl. William G. Cox emerges from one of the Viet Cong Tunnels found in the Batangan Peninsula during the Vietnam War. The tunnel was approximately 158 yards long and had two levels. Cox, who was serving with the 26th Marine Regiment, was part of Operation Bold Marinor aimed at rooting out the Viet Cong infrastructure.
