Marines positioned on top of the Rockpile direct a UH-34D helicopter onto the touch-down platform in October 1966 Vietnam. The landing site was small, requiring the pilot to balance the helicopter with full power while placing the wheels on the ramp. This photograph was taken by Capt Arnold and was part of the American military activities during the Vietnam War.
