OKINAWA, Japan (November 03, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Maressa Pena, attached to the Golden Swordsmen of Patrol Squadron (VP) 47, waits for further instruction before directing a P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft to taxi to the runway on Kadena Air Base. VP-47 is currently deployed to the 7th Fleet Area of Operation (AOO) at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, and to the 4th Fleet AOO at Comalapa, El Salvador.
