Almost any sort of a shapely, red-berried plant finds ready sale at Christmas time. This is one of the quickest growing and the easiest managed of the list of red-berried plants. Plants shifted in May from 2% inch pots can be grown into specimens 12 to 14 inches high and as broad, in 6 inch pots. The plants are literally covered with berries ranging from Vfcinch to % inch in diameter, of the most bril- liant coral red. This plant has been grown for the Philadelphia market for some years and rates at from to $ each in a 6 inch pot. Price, from 2V2 inch pots, April and May delivery, per 100; $ per 1000. Calla Elliotiana. Clear lemon yellow ; strong grower. Extra strong bulbs. Price, 50 cts. each. Calla fra<{rans. Fine dwarf, compact variety, pro- ducing an abundance of large fragrant blooms; vigorous grower. Make fine specimens for house culture. Strong plants from 3-inch pots. $ per 100. Caladium Esculentum, or Elephant's Ear. Strong bulbs. $ per hundred. Asbaragus Retrofractus Arboreus. A strong growing tree like asparagus that will be very desirable for decorations where a Japanese effect is sought; especially valuable for bordering mir- rors where a delicate effect is desired. This is a very scarce variety of asparagus. Young stock from 4-inch pots, 50 cts. each. Asbaragus Plamosus Nanus. Fine plants from 2-inch pots, April and May delivery, $ per 100; $ per 1000. Adiantum Farleuense. Probably the most beauti- ful and richest of the Adiantum family. Requires a close, warm atmosphere to be grown to perfec- tion and should not be watered overhead.
