Tyne Bridge, Newcastle Quayside. The Tyne Bridge is one of seven bridges spanning the River Tyne in north east England. This is the Tyne Bridge, a compression arch suspended-deck bridge. Built in 1928, it links Newcastle-upon-Tyne (left) with Gateshead (right). Moored beneath it is the Tuxedo Princess, a static ship which serves as a nightclub venue. Above this is the Sage Gateshead, a music centre and concert hall designed by Lord Foster. The bridge at centre left is the Gateshead Millenium bridge, a cable-stayed tilting bridge.
