You remember wemet her brother at the Country Club when Freddie Fordintroduced him. We all got off at Assisi at 2 p. m., and stayed over nightand we came on in a carriage to Perugia. I wish I could de-scribe the beauty of that sunset from our windows, lookingover the Umbrian Plain, seeing Assisi, Spello and Spoleto, with a background of snow mountains. We spent Tuesday 626 ITALY and Wednesday nights there going over the old sights, andare enjoying the Hotel Brufani, where we have front windowsthat look dowii on the Etruscan gate in the old wall. Thisafternoon we take the two oclock train to Florence and go tothe Anglo-American Hotel. We are all going tomorrow afternoon at five p. ai.
