B-1 makes its 10,000th combat mission
SOUTHWEST ASIA – Capt. Mark Kimball, 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron aircraft commander and native of Bel Air, Md., climbs into a B-1 prior to flight at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia Feb. 26, 2012. The B-1, or “Bone” as it is affectionately known, performed its first combat mission in December 1998 during Operation Desert Fox.
