Building of the Talycafn Bridge, over the Conway River, Wales - in 1897 the ferry was replaced by a bridge of steel resting on piers and abutments made of stone and concrete. The portrait is of Mr R A Prichard who was Mayor at the timer of the opening of the bridge.
