Preparing colorimetric assay solutions. Technician using a pipette to prepare dilutions for analysis (assay) in a colourimeter. Colorimetry is used to determine the concentration of a substance in solution by measuring the amount of a specific wavelength of light that the solution absorbs. This is then compared to a control solution and a known concentration of a similar solution.
