National Parador de Turismo in the main square of the town of Lerma, province of Burgos, Castile and Leon, Spain, Europe


Seventeenth century work, begun in 1601 by order of the Duke of Lerma. Its architect was Francisco de Mora, considered one of the best of the time. During the Spanish Civil War the building was used as a prison. It is currently fitted out as a Parador Nacional de Turismo
