Blanche (), daughter of Jean, knight and seigneur d'Atteinville, and Adelaide of Vermandois (944~975)

Blanche (), daughter of Jean, knight and seigneur d'Atteinville. Adelaide of Vermandois (944~975). Married Lambert, count of Châlon-sur-Saône around 955, and later married Geoffroy I, count of Anjou in 959. "The tunic of the Franks extended from the neck and fell to the feet, in a fashion to hide the, or at least partly. It hugged the body very closely, making visible all the contours of an elegant waist. It can be seen in figures 101 and 102." "In fig. 101, her veil is positioned with much grace, and the curls of hair which appear underneath produce a very nice effect. In truth, [this figure] is from the 13th century, but these types of veils were still in use." Handcolored copperplate engraving from Robert von Spalart's "Historical Picture of the Costumes of the Principal People of Antiquity and of the Middle Ages" (1796).
