Belfast is proud of its industrial history and heritage. And here we see some of its best known relics. Samson and Goliath are the twin shipbuilding gantry cranes of Harland and Wolff, located on Queen's Island. They dominate the Belfast skyline and have come to symbolise the city. The one shown here is Goliath, together with some of the smaller ship - building cranes. All are, of course, derelict, but have been preserved for posterity.
