In 40 years the road has grown from 2 miles of singletrack with four horse cars, to a system of 140 miles oftrack with 350 modern double-truck cars. Following sec-tions of the history will describe the physical features ofthe present property. THE INLAND EMPIRE FRUIT SPECIAL The Inland Empire System, which operates through arich fruit district in Washington, instituted a Fruit Speciallast year to carry lecturers from town to town to instruct.
