The Atchafalaya Basin Bridge, miles long, runs between Baton Rouge and Lafayette, Louisiana, USA. Part of Interstate 10, it is the fourteenth longest bridge in the world and crosses the Atchafalaya swamp. The vegetation seen growing on the water is an invasive plant called Water Hyacinth, Eichhomia crassipes, which is quickly spreading and choking off fish.
