The Officers and men of the LEG II AVG Roman re-enactment group giving the populus of Dorchester a taste of what life was like under Roman rule. For 15 years the LEG II AVG have been faithfully re-creating life in Roman Britain as accurately as they can, and have grown to become one of Europe’s leading Roman re-enactment groups. Dorchester is itself a Roman town, which was formerly known as Durnovaria.
