The Chapter House at Cockersand Abbey, near Thurnham in Lancashire, is a Grade 1 listed building and Scheduled Ancient Monument that was as a premonstratensian priory and elevated to an abbey in 1192. The abbey was dissolved in 1539 and the Chapter House, built in 1230, is the only part that is still intact.
