Replica of an astrolabe (or fusoris) being used by a 15th Century astronomer to calculate the position of the Sun and prominent stars.
Replica of an Astrolabe (two-sided) created at the start of the 15th Century by Parisian cleric and mathematician Jean le Fondeur. Also known as a Fusoris. Adapted here to the modern Greogorian Calandar and star positions. Aids positioning of the Sun and prominent stars with respect to both the horizon and the meridian. Replica crafted by Master Terebrus, a Ukranian producer of ancient navigation and mathematical tools.
