PACIFIC OCEAN (Mar. 08, 2019) – Navy Counselor 1st Class Thomas Hubbard, from Brockton, Mass., fires an M2HB .50-caliber machine gun during a live-fire gun exercise (GUNEX) aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Navy warships train together to increase the tactical proficiency, lethality, and interoperability of participating units in an Era of Great Power Competition.
