While the farmer as a rule raises moreor less stock, the production of beef cat-tle is not sufficient to supply the demandfor meat in the valley, and most of thebeef comes from the northern coast, prin-cipally Southern Oregon. The business requires strictattention, and the supplementing ofcareful and intelligent aid to the favora-ble conditions of nature.
