More lumber with which to build ships and carryon reconstruction work must be produced. Cotton and wool forthe needs of the world must be made available. The mines andmineral industries must be kept up to the maximum of order to accomplish this the prevalence of disease must be keptat the minimum. Sickness from preventable diseases means loss oftime, money, and decreased efficiency and will impede America inher reconstruction work. Each individual should take especial pains to safeguard his healthand the health of his country.
