An Illyrian helmet, 6th century BC Bronze with bright green patina. High, slightly protruding skull with offset, doubly ridged plume holder and holes for fixation on the front as well as on the reverse side. Rectangular face opening under a reinforced profile. Deeply pulled down cheek-pieces and curved neck guard. Continuous profile border with lenticular ornamental rivets. Professional replacements and protections at the neck and the forehead.
