Wat Saen (Wat Sene Souk Haram) Buddhist Temple c1718, Luang Prabang, Laos

Wat Saen temple (Wat Sene Souk Haram) is one of the most beautiful temples in Luang Prabang, Laos, especially after its recent restoration. It was constructed in 1718 by King Kitsarath with 100 000 stones from the Mekong river. The famous alms-giving ceremony, where lay people give food every morning in the pre-dawn to the Buddhist monks, takes place on the road than runs to the left of the photo behind the white wall.
