Finally the manor was bought by Edmund Woodhall, brother of Dorothy ; He died seised of it in 1639, leaving two sons Edmund and Edmund died without issue, and in 1675 Little Munden was held by his brother Robert Thornton Heysham," and his grandson of the same name," who in 1816 sold the manor to Nathaniel Snell ; In 184+ the latter conveyed it to his brother Charles, from whom it passed upon his death in 1866 to his daughter Elizabeth and her husband Henry Edward Surtees. It was acquired about 1895 by Mrs. Edwin Prodgers, the present owner.
