The thin under lines of the braidare each laid on separately in the simple curve of the festoon, the upper line only being- formedinto the ornamental rosette, at the point of each division. The rosette which appears within therecess of each-festoon is commenced in the middle, the last end being slipped under the crossingsof the braid, and so concealed. Another way is to pass the ends of the braid through a stilettohole made in the material, and fasten them down at the back.
