Coal Train ascending Shap near Tebay.


EWS Class 66 locomotive number 66 080 hauling a coal train Northwards over Shap on the West Coast main line. The train is passing Greenholme near Tebay on the ascent to Shap summit (the highest point on the line in England). The train is made up of the older style MGR wagons (Merry Go Round) and is returning empty probaly to Ayrshire in Scotland, either for imported coal or to the Open Cast mines there.
