A good way, a shortway (and all good ways are short)—and a most scenic way. Let us tell you about it. The green car runs from Water-bury Green out East Main St., climbs Meriden Road, crosses MadRiver, and speeds across the summit of Southington Mountainbeside the main automobile highway. We pass the well-known great boulder to the south and cometo Morris Park on Hitchcocks Lakes. Many Waterbury, Bristoland Southington people have cottages or bungalows here, and theplace is fast growing as a summer community. Steam launchesply on the lake, yet do not frighten away the bass, perch andpickerel in which its waters abound. A noted fishing-place it is.
