La Harpe is well supplied with railroads, the Toledo, Peoria &Warsaw entering it from the east, and running to the city, whereit divides, the Warsaw branch running southwardly, and that toBurlington taking a northwest course and crossing the line at DiscoStation. La Harpe is the only town in the township. It has become aplace of considerable business, the business center for all the north-east portion of the county. It sports a bank, a good complementof well stocked business houses, and a proportionate number oftradesmen and manufactories and a newspaper. Its population is (892) 0i-:.
