"Kai Kavus and Rustam Embrace", Folio 123r from the Shahnama (Book of Kings) of Shah Tahmasp ca. 1525–30 Abu'l Qasim Firdausi Aulad now leads Rustam to the captive Kai Kavus and his contingent, all of whom have been blinded.
