A poster of Kurdish leader Seyid Reza, who was executed in 1938 in Dersim (Tunceli), Turkey, was also carried at the memorial ceremony for Kurdish leader Sheikh Said. Kurdish leader Sheikh Said and 46 of his friends were commemorated on the 98th anniversary of their execution, at the place where they were executed in Diyarbakir. Kasim Firat, President of the Association and grandson of Sheikh Said, Saliha Aydeniz, Co-Chairman of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), members of the Green Left Party (YSP) and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), representatives of the Diyarbakir Bar Association also attended the commemoration organized by the Sheikh Said Association.
