Fore wing with vein 3 from before angle of cell; 4 ,-y from angle or separate ; 6 from upper angle ; 7, 8, 9, 10 stalked ; 11 from cell. Hind wing usually with the lower part of cell extremely short, the discocellulars angled just above median nervure ; veins 2 and 4 on a long stalk ; 3 and 5 absent; 6, 7 from upper angle. Sect. I. Abdomen with long and slender peduncle to 2nd segment; the 1st segment with two large bladder-like ventral tubercles, no valve covering the segments beyond the peduncle. 308. Sphecosoma angustatum.
