Though not a politician in theordinary sense, he has always takenan active interest in public affairs,being a zealous Republican. He wrote the platform of the party in1890, and is a member of the StateExecutive Committee. Judge Waymire was married inJune, 1865, to Miss Virginia AnnChrisman, a lady whose parents wereborn in Virginia and came West byway of Kentucky and Missouri toOregon. The fruit of this union istwo sons and two daughters.
