Reclaimed polder land in Holland, north of Amsterdam, which is some 6 metres lower than the sea level, is pumped out to keep in drained by a massive pumping station. With 50 per cent of the Netherlands below sea level, it is incredibly vulnerable to climate change driven sea level rise.
