A Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Reinforced), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), approaches the shore during a helocast exercise at Kin Blue, Okinawa, Japan, April 27, 2022. Helocasting is a helicopter insertion technique to position and hover over water for Marines to jump out of. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
