Members of the 27th Mining Engineers, led by 1st Lt. R. S. Edmondson, constructing a dugout beneath the building in Rambucourt, France. The building had recently been destroyed by German shellfire. This photograph was taken on June 25, 1918, by Pvt. C. E. Painter of the S. C. RECO. It was approved by the Censor on July 8, 1918.
