Witney, Oxfordshire, UK, 9th September 2014. Fairground workers use a crane to set up a rollercoaster ride in blazing sunshine in preparation for the Witney Feast this weekend. The Annual Feast of St Mary has been held since 1243 to commemorate the re-dedication of St Mary's Church when the Bishop gave a deer to the Rector so that the people of the town could celebrate the occasion. Today a pig roast on Church Green still marks this part of the tradition alongside the fairground rides, sideshows, food stalls, music, and sporting events Credit: Ric Mellis/Alamy Live News
