The shop site is at the corner of Borderstreet and Xewton avenue, and is of the shape indicated inthe accompanying engraving showing the layout of the build-ings. Public Service Corporation-and Tracks. ■Layout of Buildings the external structure is concerned, is arranged, as shown,for a machine shop, carpenter shop and paint shop, with theboiler room and shop storeroom at one end. The building is255 feet 4 inches long and 130 feet S inches wide, and thespace devoted to the machine shop, carpenter shop and paintshop respectively is 72 feet in each case. There are five pittracks allotted to each section, all tracks being served by thetransfer table. The length of each pit is about 74 feet, orlong enough to accomodate a car body and provide spacefor running out two pairs of trucks. The paint shop is separated from the carpenter shop bya fire wall having one 5-foot opening on the side opposite thepits. A similar fire wall divides the machine shop from theboiler room shop, storeroom and wheelroom, each with open-ings into the machine shop.
