Since that time I obtained this bird and found it to be distinct and apparentlyundescribed, so I have accordingly characterized it as above. It fi-equents cMefly thewarmer valleys at the edges of woods, and occasionally hedges and thickets. Its habits aremuch the same as those of its —L. liypoxantlia, Blyth, Description.—Above of the usual dusky coloru*—eyestreak, and enthe under partsbrihiant-yellow—^taH conspicuously white shafted with white iaterior edges to the feathersfor their terminal half—length 4J inches.
