Water-Starworts are notoriously difficult to identify. Those pictured here are from Par (Cornwall) and are most likely Callitriche hamulata - Intermediate Water-Starwort - though they might also be the Various-leaved Water-Starwort (Callitriche platycarpa) or even the Blue-fruited Water-Starwort (Callitriche obtusangula). If you are simply looking to illustrate an aggregate Starwort example then these images are ideally suited to picturing this riverine weed. Where absolute identification is required then check with an aquatic plant specialist since this is a very difficult group of plants to identify correctly.
