ONE CENT POSTAGE. The question of one-cent postage forletters delivered within the city was dis-cussed recently by the Montreal Cham-bre- de Commerce. It was brought upby Alex. Prudhumme, who explainedthat it would be of great advantage tobusiness men. At present many employmessengers to deliver mail within thecity limits, finding it cheaper to do , this method of delivery hadits inconvenience. Tf postage were re-duced to one cent, it would induce busi-ness men to use the mails instead,which would insure not only moreprompt but safer delivery.
