This species was dis- tinguished from Salvin*3 Petrel by its smaller size and black un- der tail coverts. Bill^ black; orbital ring, bJbMfc-j iris^ dark brown; lower parts of feet, blackf remainder,, bluish^white. Salvin's Petrel. Eight or nine with snail sexual organs were taken. The naked parts were the same coloe as those of the Neg- lected Petrel, except that the feet were pinkish instead of bluish. I Harcourt's Petrel, one; Galapagos Storm Petrel, several; Brew- ster's Booby, a female taken, another bird seen; Blue-faced Booby, several, all immature; Red-footed Booby, two or three in dark plu- mage, one young one alighted on my oar while in the small boat. October 5, 1906. 14°48'N. 107°2'W. Light northwest wind; warm; clear. Mr. Beck went out in the morning and obtained the following species:- Pomarine Jaeger (Steroorarius pomatorhinus), two; Wedge- tailed Shearwater, one; Salvin's Petrel, eight or ten with small sexual organs; Harcourt's Petrel (?), three or four, appeared a little small for this species; Galapagos Storm Petrel, two or three; Red-footed Booby, one young one; Brewster's Booby, one; Blue-faced. i.
