A rare Mexican cactus "Agave Americana" has grown to 30 feet within 10 weeks in a Devon street. Having lain dormant for years, the plant erupted in June, and now sits at rooftop height of the 3 storey house in Sidmouth. Known as the century plant due to it's more usual dormancy, flowering specimens are exceedingly rare in the UK.
