Adamite mineral. Adamite is a hydrated zinc arsenate () that may also contain copper and cobalt. It is a secondary mineral in zinc-arsenic bearing deposits and forms a solid solution with various olivenites. It is orthorhombic and may occur in crystals of various forms, usually elongate, but also as aggregates or (as here) botryoidal crusts. Green colours predominate, but specimens with yellow, blue or white colours are also known. This sample, from Lavrion in Greece, is 30 centimetres across.
