The ploughs are hung underneath the car in the usuallocality ; but instead of being suspended from levers placedon the car floor, these ploughs are hung to a double rocker armplaced underneath the car floor framing, to which the air cyl-inder has its piston directly CO - p OW K m BO a 35O o iso o CS oH r-< 05 o a - « j 5ca Vol. LX1X, No. AND RAILROAD JOURNAL. 87 The control of the compressed-air cylinder lies in a three* way OOCk, w-herewith air is admitted to either end Ol the cyl incler and exhausted therefrom at will of the operator, who sua upon a kiiul of deck or look-out house liuilt 00 top of the car, much in the same manner that Borne freight cabooses are con-structed.
