A silver-mounted Caucasian shashqa, circa 1900. Single-edged blade, somewhat stained and pitted, with double fullers on both sides, and floral etching at the forte. An eagle and the inscription "OMAP" stamped twice on the reverse side. Silver nielloed grip embossed with floral designs. Later leather-covered wooden scabbard with silver mountings worked en suite with the grip.
