Nick Vande Griend, commanding officer, Naval Magazine Indian Island, and his wife Sonja wave to the crowd, as they participate in the 2017 Rhody Festival grand parade in downtown Port Townsend, Wash. The parade serves as part of the towns Rhody Festival, held in the third week of May annually, celebrating the state flower, the rhododendron.
