London Southend Airport, Essex, UK. 20th Dec, 2020. Despite the Essex area in which the airport is located being moved into Tier 4 COVID Alert status the first departure of the day, the 06:45 flight FR2184 to Alicante in Spain, departed as scheduled. The return flight is due back at 12:15. A flight is also then planned to head to another popular holiday area, that of the Portugal resort area of Faro at 13:25 returning at 19:25, using the same plane. Passengers are required to have a test certificate before travel. Flights soon to be banned to Spain and Portugal
