A photograph of laterite rocks found along a part of Thottada Beach, in Kannur, Kerala, India. Thottada is a small sleepy, dreamy village 10 kms south of the busy town of Kannur, Kerala, India. Thottada is packed with coconut plantations. There are several beaches here all with white sand. Tourism is yet to take off in this area unlike other parts of Kerala particularly in the south of the state. Fishing is big business in Kannur. On the beaches during most mornings and at dusk can be seen locals fishing either off the beach or in the waters of the Arabian Sea.
